Lovin’ Life festival, Sligo – July 3rd

We’ll be playing Sligo’s first Lovin’ Life festival on July 3rd.
The festival is focused on enjoying music without needing to be hammered, and profits raised will go to the Bill W Club, which was set up in October 2008 by Aubrey Melville to provide a Centre for people experiencing difficulties with addiction.

It’s a brilliant cause and we’re delighted to be taking part.
We’ll be playing at “The Gettin’ Into It Gig” at Mount Shannon House on the Bundoran Road. €25 tickets get you in for Friday evening and all day Saturday, with 20 bands to be seen. Great value…for more info click here.

Oxegen Roundup

What a weekend.
Thanks to everyone who made it along, soldiering through the mud to get there!
We had a blast playing on Sunday. Spinning Top seems to have surfaced on youtube. Here it is:

We had a great acoustic session with Ray Colclough and the gang live on Beat 102-103 and a lovely chat with Clare and Jonathan on Spin 103.8.

Everything paled in comparison though to Jason beating Bres from the Blizzards in Spin Southwest’s “Ass Firmness Test” competition, scoring a perfect 10! What a specimen of a man. Cheers to Michelle for being gentle with our posteriors, and to Conor and Eoghan for not laughing too much as we all “assumed the position.”

Thanks to Helen, Dermot and the IMTV gang too, here’s our chat with them:

Quote of the weekend goes to Mia.
After the gig, we’d loaded up the van, hopped in, and an unusually large bumblebee flew in. Mia’s frantic description?
“Oh my God! It’s a mouse with wings!!!!”
